Their job involves:

  • To establish operating procedures and sequences, assess the load needs for electrical wiring in structures and premises through codes, specifications, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Establishing installation reference points and taking measurements.
  • Choosing, chopping, joining, and attaching wire and cable to connectors and terminals.
  • Test instruments for electronics and electrical systems are used to locate and identify issues.
  • Fixing and swapping out damaged components and wiring.
  • Single- and three-phase electrical switchboard installation and placement.
  • Connecting power supplies to electrical systems.
  • Checking the circuit’s continuity.
  • Installing, evaluating, and modifying the mechanical and electrical components of lifts.
  • Setting up, testing, and turning on solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants.

Stage 1

Stage 2

Technical Assessment

After passing Stage 1, you’ll need to finish a technical evaluation.

Stage 3

Practical Assessment

What skills and knowledge do I need?

This job requires the UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician qualification. In order to receive this certification, you will need to prove that you are proficient in the following competency units.
