Supporting Material for Assessment
An organizational chart is required if you are nominating someone for this managerial position. An organizational chart should have the letterhead of the business, your job title, the titles of your superiors and subordinates, and the roles that report to you directly and to your immediate supervisor. If your company is unable to offer you an organizational chart, kindly submit a statutory statement explaining the necessary details and the reasons behind the non-provision of the information.
A cover letter supporting your decision to use a “nec” category should be included.
You should also list any relevant courses you’ve done for professional development or training. The enclosed Curriculum Vitae/Resume may have more information about these.
Not Elsewhere Classified (NEC)
Certain professions evaluated by VETASSESS are designated as “nec” or “not elsewhere classified.” You must make sure that your work history and credentials are extremely relevant to one of the occupation titles included in the ANZSCO description for the specific occupation if you are nominating someone in one of these roles.
Individual occupation titles that are unique and not listed elsewhere in ANZSCO will be evaluated individually if they are pertinent to the ‘nec’ (not elsewhere classified) codes. To be assessed under a ‘nec’ code, the occupation typically should be described as specialized or related to its ANZSCO Unit Group description despite not being classified elsewhere.
Whether determined by VETASSESS or not, your job in these suggested occupations shouldn’t be a closer match to another ANZSCO code. You should analyze the sub-major group description and decide whether your talents best fit this category before nominating a “nec” occupation. In order to ascertain whether employment can be deemed highly relevant to the categorization, VETASSESS evaluates on an individual basis. Regardless of whether the occupation is open for immigration or not, an applicant’s employment cannot be adequately assessed against a “nec” categorization if it is highly related to another ANZSCO occupation within the same period. Applicants must submit a cover letter outlining their reasoning for selecting a “nec” category.
