The eligible criteria for ACS Skill Assessment are based on the educational qualifications and professional experience, which will include various assessment pathways. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) has developed the following criteria for evaluating the ICT professionals who apply to Australia for migration as skilled workers.
Working experience is not required in the field as candidate hold their bachelor degree or higher with a major in ICT
Candidates must have post 1 year working experience or have completed the ACS Professional Year Program. own a bachelor’s degree that is directly relevant to your chosen occupation and with an ICT major.
Candidates with tertiary ICT degrees and occupations may be subjected to general skill assessment.
If you have a bachelor’s degree or higher and your degree is closely related to the nominated job, you will need to show two years of relevant work experience from the last 10 years or four years of relevant work experience from any time in your work history to meet the criteria.
They will need 5 years of relevant work experience in the last 10 years or 6 years of relevant work experience in your past work history to meet the criteria if they have completed their diploma, advanced diploma, or associate degree that is closely related to your nominated job.
Candidates who have completed their diploma but are not closely related to your nominated occupation will need to have 6 years of relevant work experience, which can be done at any point in their past work history.
Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree or higher and your degree is closely related to the job you want, you need 5 years of relevant work experience from the last 10 years or 6 years of relevant work experience from any time in your work history to meet the requirements.
If you have a bachelor’s degree or higher and your nominated job is not closely linked to your degree, you will need 6 years of relevant work experience from any time in the past to meet the criteria.
