Group B

A qualification deemed equivalent to or higher than the educational requirements of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. 

Applicants can fulfill the assessment criteria for this occupation in four different ways.  

Additional qualifications in a related field of study can be at levels similar to these:

  • AQF Diploma 
  • AQF Advanced Diploma 
  • AQF Associate Degree 
  • or AQF Graduate Diploma

A bachelor’s degree or above includes the following: 

  • AQF Master’s Degree or 
  • AQF Doctoral Degree  

duration of highly relevant paid work (20 hours or more per week)  

1-3 minimum years of work in a highly relevant position for the specified field, finished five years before the application date for a skills assessment at the necessary skill level.  

Four minimum years of relevant work experience are needed; these can be broken down into three years of relevant work (completed outside of the last five years) and at least one year of highly relevant work completed within the five years before application.

Suppose employment occurs before the attainment of the certification at the necessary level. In that case, applicants must have at least one year of highly relevant work at the required skill level within the last five years. The final five years of pre-qualification could fall within the previous ten years.

 A favorable evaluation of the degree of qualification and length of employment is necessary for a favorable conclusion of the Skills Assessment.
