Group B

This occupation requires a qualification equivalent to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree or higher.

Applicants can meet the assessment criteria for this occupation in four ways:

If employed before completing the required qualification, the applicant must have at least one year of highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level within the last five years. The remaining five years of relevant experience can be within the past ten years.

Alternatively, applicants can demonstrate at least four years of relevant employment. This includes three years of relevant experience, which can be from more than five years ago, and at least one year of highly relevant experience within the last five years before applying.

A positive assessment of both the qualification level and employment duration is necessary for a positive Skills Assessment outcome.

Group B Previous

Additional qualifications in a highly relevant field of study include those equivalent to the following levels:

  • AQF Diploma
  • AQF Advanced Diploma
  • AQF Associate Degree or AQF Graduate Diploma

Bachelor degree or higher degree includes:

AQF Master Degree or AQF Doctoral Degree

Highly relevant paid employment duration (20 hours or more per week):

For 1-3 years:

A minimum of one to three years of highly relevant employment at the appropriate skill level, completed within the five years before applying for a Skills Assessment.

For 4 years:

A minimum of four years of relevant employment is required. This includes three years of relevant employment (which can be from more than five years ago) and at least one year of highly relevant employment within the last five years before applying.

  • Creating, planning, writing scripts for, recording, videotaping and editing programs.

A Video Producer manages all stages of video production, from planning before filming to editing after filming. They write scripts, meet with clients, create budgets, track expenses, secure locations and permits, schedule activities, hire key staff like actors and crew, and oversee logistics until the video is finished.
