Art Teacher (Private Tuition) is a VETASSESS Group B occupation
This occupation requires a qualification equivalent to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree or higher.
Applicants can meet the assessment criteria for this occupation in four different ways:
If employment occurred before completing the required qualification, the applicant must have at least one year of highly relevant work experience at an appropriate skill level within the last five years. The remaining five years of pre-qualification experience may be within the last ten years.
A positive assessment of both the qualification level and employment duration is required for a successful Skills Assessment outcome.

Minimum 4 years of relevant employment required, which includes three years of relevant employment (that can be outside the last 5-year period) in addition to at least one year of highly relevant employment within the last five years before applying.

- Revising curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
- Preparing students for examinations, performances, and assessments.
- Keeping abreast of developments in the subject area by attending professional conferences, seminars, and courses, reading current literature, and talking with colleagues.
- Arranging visits and tours to professional exhibitions and performances.
- Organizing exhibitions or performances of students’ work.
